The Pets at Home Vet Group has moved its Support Office base after outgrowing its previous headquarters in the Oxfordshire countryside.

In 2001 the group, which includes Vets4Pets and Companion Care, established its Support Office in Kingston Lisle near Wantage in Oxfordshire, but in 2015 the team had reached 140 colleagues, meaning the group had to find new premises.

After months of searching, a new home has been found in the historic quarter of Churchward in Swindon, located in the original wheelhouse of Isambard Brunel’s railway works.

The Pets at Home Vet Group officially opened its new Support Office on Monday 31st October, and the team are hoping their new setting will improve the services they provide to its 400+ veterinary surgeries across the UK.

Chief executive of the Pets at Home Vet Group, Sally Hopson, said: “We are delighted to have finally found our ideal new office in the beautiful Isambard building.

“The location offers good transport links, local amenities and helps us utilise current and future technologies, whilst also accommodating further future growth within our support team.

“Our new premises have more than 17,000 sq ft floor space and the layout has been designed to ensure all Support Office teams can work together. This not only improves workflow, but encourages cross-functional activities.

“Adding to this, we will also now be working mainly on laptops to enable agile working, so our colleagues can move around more to work together and not feel stuck to their desk.

“We have made sure that there are plenty of meeting rooms and break-out areas for our colleagues to discuss ideas in a comfortable, but professional, environment.

“The new office has improved IT infrastructure which means we are using new software and can improve the service we provide our partners.

“And as always, our colleague’s pets will be welcome in our new Support Office. We are a company who puts pets first after all.

“With a better working environment and enhanced technologies, we can continue to recruit the best talent and offer expert support to our Joint Venture Partners and their teams for many years to come.”
