Unveiling the Health Benefits, Surgical Techniques and Post Operative Care

For immediate release – 30th November 2023 - Yorkshire, UK: Burgess Pet Care has announced their sponsorship of the free Rodent Neutering webinar, taking place on Tuesday 5th December, helping us to understand the advantages and health benefits of neutering.

Sponsored by Burgess Pet Care and led by Advanced Practitioner in Zoological Medicine and Veterinary Surgeon, Dr Sophie Jenkins BVetMed PgC EAS CertExAP MRCVS, the webinar will carefully guide participants through the science of rodent neutering, the reasons for neutering, the practical options and health benefits.

Often thought of exclusively for cats and dogs, neutering yields many health benefits for rodents including: guinea pigs, chinchilla and rats.

The free webinar will cover several learnings:

  1. Be able to sex rodents
  2. Understand why we neuter rodents
  3. Understand the option for surgical approach (with images)
  4. Understand how neutering can reduce various hormonal related problems
  5. Understand the post operative care
