In response to a growing concern over the potential resistance of certain pathogens to older disinfectant chemistries J.A.K Marketing and Antec have introduced Sanivet2 for veterinary professional use.

Based on a unique formula containing a newer twin chain quaternary ammonium compound combined with alkylamine, Sanivet2 is designed to disinfect all veterinary premise areas under routine circumstances. The product is non-staining and non-tainting and importantly does not contain ingredients show to have a sensitising potential.

The advantages of using the newer compounds is their ability to work across a range of temperature and water hardness values and their proven control of key pathogens. This coupled with a pleasant apple fragrance and competitive price will produce an ideal solution for practice disinfection problems.

Available from all wholesalers or J.A.K Marketing the pack sizes are 5 litres and 20 litres which, at the recommended dilution rate of 1:200 will make 1,000 litres or 4,00 litres respectively of disinfection solution. Dispensing pumps are available for both packs sizes delivering 30ml of concentrate, sufficient for a 6 litre bucket.

“Sanivet2 completes our surface disinfectant range alongside the world renowned Virkon Professional and the new J.A.K Environmental Challenge Test Kit” says David Morley from J.A.K Marketing. “Working with Antec gives us access to the newest and best solutions to current disease challenges”

J.A.K Marketing suggest that the most effective use of the current disinfectant technology would be to use Sanivet2 for 6 days, Virkon for 1 day per week, then to test the level of bacterial challenge every three months (or more regularly if a problem occurs) to establish and monitor a successful practice disinfection protocol.
