National treasure and celebrity animal lover to cut the red ribbon at Grand Opening Party
Sussex based Grove Lodge Vets invite you and your four legged friend to celebrate the opening of their brand new purpose built vet clinic in Southwick, West Sussex.
The popular group of local vet clinics, who pride themselves on offering your pet the best most affordable veterinary care, have their headquarters at their state of the art 24/7 animal hospital in Worthing with branches already established in Brighton, Lancing, Portslade, Tarring, and Durrington.
Their new Southwick clinic, complete with operating theatre, cat only waiting room, and car park, will be manned by TV vet and author Marc Abraham, better known as ‘Marc the Vet’, who’s given pet advice on shows including Paul O’Grady Show, Daybreak, This Morning, Crufts, My Pet Shame, and It’s Me Or the Dog.
Marc, who recently won the prestigious CEVA Special Recognition Award for Animal Welfare for his work fighting cruel puppy farms, says “I’m thrilled be looking after the pets of Southwick and surrounding area. Sussex is well known for being ultra-pet friendly and I look forward to meeting and treating all the local pets at Grove Lodge Southwick.”
The grand opening party will take place on Saturday 16th June at the new premises on Southwick Street, with fun for all the animal loving family including free BarBQ and refreshments, special doggy ice cream parlour by Billy & Margot, and children’s face painter, as well as a display from Sussex based assistance dog charity Canine Partners, Doodley Dogs, Southwick’s very own The Dog House pet shop, local canine behaviourists Just Good Dogs giving advice, Worthing & District Animal rescue Service (WADARS), and of course guided tours of the new clinic by Marc the Vet himself.
Local celebrity Zoe Ball, who’ll be cutting the red ribbon, is married to superstar DJ Norman Cook aka Fatboy Slim, and is well known for presenting the Radio 1 Breakfast Show, being a contestant on BBC1's ‘Strictly Come Dancing’, as well as her numerous shows on BBC Radio 2.
