Vetoquinol Launches Felpreva®, A New Three-Monthly Feline Spot-on Parasiticide

Vetoquinol is delighted to announce that Felpreva - the brand-new breakthrough in feline parasite protection - is now available for veterinarians to prescribe in the UK market. The announcement follows the marketing authorisation granted by the VMD in November 2021.
Felpreva is a long-awaited innovation in companion animal parasitology. It is the only spot-on parasiticide for cats to provide 3 months’ protection against fleas and ticks plus treatment against roundworms, tapeworms and ear mites all in a single dose. It is licensed for treatment of cats with, or at risk from, mixed parasitic infestations/infections. Felpreva is part of the endectocide class of veterinary parasiticides that covers both internal (endo) and external (ecto) parasites. It is a combination of active substances emodepside and praziquantel, with tigolaner, a novel bispyrazole active ingredient.
A recent survey revealed 43% of cat owners said that giving parasite protection to their cat makes them feel guilty, stressed, or worried.[1] Felpreva provides an option to reduce the frequency of treatments, lessening stressful interactions between owners and their cats. With Felpreva’s convenience and longer-lasting flea and tick protection, it aims to help support compliance and thus improve the wellbeing of feline companions.
