The Danish Small Animal Veterinary Association (DSAVA) and the Polish Small Animal Veterinary Association (PSAVA) have entered an agreement with veterinary digital specialist Vetstream which will enable their members to benefit from significantly discounted access to Vetlexicon’s digital point-of-care companion animal services.

Vetstream specialises in the provision of digital reference services to the veterinary sector with Vetlexicon the world's largest online peer-reviewed veterinary reference tool.  A Global Educational Partner of the World Small Animal Veterinary Association (WSAVA), it already offers individual veterinarians from its member associations preferential pricing for Vetlexicon Canis (dogs) and Felis (cats).  Under this new agreement with DSAVA and PSAVA, however, their members will now benefit from discounted access not only to Canis and Felis but also to Lapis (rabbits) and Exotis (exotics).

Commenting on the agreement, Dr Jacek Szulc, President of PSAVA, said: “Our Board wanted to ensure that veterinarians in Poland could benefit from the latest knowledge in the veterinary care of all small animals.  The Vetlexicon services offer convenient access to a wide range of point-of-care information, including the latest thinking and best practice, algorithms and case studies.  We believe it is a great tool for our members and are delighted to be able to offer it to them so cost-effectively thanks to this agreement.”

Dr Hanne Knude Palshof, President of DSAVA, added: “We are happy to have obtained a Vetlexicon association subscription for our small animal vet members to access.   Vetlexicon is up to date, easy to use and is a quick way to find relevant veterinary information in terms of diseases and treatments.   The fact that it always has new reference articles connected to its information is reassuring to the professional user.”

Dr Mark Johnston, Managing Director of Vetstream said: “As a Global Educational Partner of the WSAVA, we are committed to provide significant member benefits for all 105 WSAVA member associations to ensure that their veterinarians have access to the highest quality, peer-reviewed point of care information for the diagnosis and treatment of conditions in their patients.

“We have already set up association licences with 22 of the WSAVA’s member associations and are working with ten of the world’s leading veterinary schools, giving their students free access to Vetlexicon during their training.  We’re delighted to extend our relationship with DSAVA and PSAVA and that, as a result, their members are now able to have benefit from access to the entire companion animal resources of Vetlexicon. We’re in active discussions with other WSAVA member associations whose members could soon benefit from similar agreements.”

Vetstream specialises in the provision of digital reference services to the veterinary sector with Vetlexicon the world's largest online clinical veterinary reference tool.  It offers comprehensive, peer-reviewed, digital point-of-care information on the veterinary treatment of dogs (Canis), cats (Felis), rabbits (Lapis), horses (Equis) and exotics (Exotis), together with Practis, which provides advice on all aspects of practice management.

In addition to Vetlexicon, Vetstream’s Webpartner service offers a suite of website design, online content and digital marketing services to the veterinary sector.  Vetstream’s Vetacademy service is a user-friendly online learning platform which provides the whole practice team with the ability to search and select from more than 300 courses from the world’s leading training and CPD providers.
