A Vets4Pets practice in Basildon has expanded with a new extension this winter, creating sevennew jobs and increasing its services for patients from across Essex.
Established in 2010, Vets4Pets Basildon Hospital (Pitsea) provides emergency and out of hours veterinary care, along with inpatient care 24 hours a day, 365 days a year from its site at Old Market Retail Park.
The extension brings new and improved veterinary facilities, making Vets4Pets Basildon Hospital (Pitsea) the only practice in the area to house an onsite MRI scanner, allowing its vets to better diagnose and treat pets.
Hydrotherapy has been added to the list of specialist services the hospital now offers, to provide tailored support for pets recovering from injury, surgery or other medical conditions.
The practice also has a state-of-the-art CT scanner, as well as advanced services in keyhole surgery, soft tissue surgery, orthopaedics and laser therapy, allowing its vets to diagnose, treat and support pets through the healing process, all under one roof.
Nikki Idowu, Joint Venture Partner and Practice Manager at Vets4Pets Basildon Hospital (Pitsea) said: “We’ve been a part of our local community for more than 12 years now and had the pleasure of meeting lots of people and their lovely pets.
“It’s our priority to provide the very best possible care to our loyal community and our new and improved facilities and services mean we can do just that.”
