Veterinary digital content specialist Vetstream and the British Equine Veterinary Association (BEVA) have announced a partnership which will offer BEVA members discounted access to Vetstream’s Vetlexicon information services on clinical care and practice management.  Vetstream will also promote BEVA and the support it offers to vets in involved in equine work, as well as supporting the important work being carried out by the BEVA Trust.

Vetstream specialises in the provision of digital point of need information to the veterinary sector.  Its Vetlexicon service is the world's largest online peer-reviewed veterinary reference service, offering comprehensive, peer-reviewed digital point-of-care information on the veterinary treatment of the species it covers.  All of the services, Equis (horses), Canis (dogs), Felis (cats), Lapis (rabbits), Exotis (exotics) and Bovis (cattle), together with practice management resource, Practis, will be available to BEVA members at specially discounted rates through the partnership.

BEVA is a leading equine veterinary association with members across the globe. It represents the industry at the highest level, running CPD and producing universally respected journals (Equine Veterinary Journal and Equine Veterinary Education) for equine veterinary surgeons, veterinary nurses and those working within the equine veterinary market industry.

In addition to offering discounts on its services to BEVA members, Vetstream will contribute 10% of each subscription it receives to the BEVA Trust, the association’s philanthropic arm, to support voluntary work by BEVA members in the UK and overseas.

Commenting on the partnership, Dr Mark Johnston, Managing Director of Vetstream, said: “As a previously practising equine vet, I know at first hand the value of the information and support BEVA provides to its members so I’m particularly delighted to be working with BEVA to provide our Vetlexicon and Practis services to support BEVA members in their clinical work and practice management. We look forward to working with the team at BEVA and spreading the word about BEVA as an association and its events, Congress and other member benefits as well as the excellent work that the BEVA Trust carries out in the UK and in developing countries, caring for horses in need.”

Mr David Mountford, Chief Executive of BEVA, added: “At BEVA we are always looking for new ways to support our members carry out their roles. This new partnership with Vetstream gives us a unique opportunity to offer BEVA members access to a reliable veterinary reference service at a discounted cost."
