Tuesday 5th June began like just another day onboard Bertha, Onswitch's state of the art mobile training bus. At the latest stop on her nationwide tour of customer experience training, Bertha was in Chester for a 5 Steps Telephone Skills course. However, during the day an unexpected extra delegate joined the customer care professionals onboard - Molly the Westie!

Onswitch's trainer on the day, Helen Tottey RVN, explains what happened. "Training was well underway when one of the attendees noticed a small white dog walking on her own along the very busy Warrington Road, close to where Bertha was parked up. We were all worried that she might end up amongst the traffic, so I knew I had to act fast. I managed to stop the cars and coax Molly towards me, so I was able to bring her safely onboard Bertha whilst we worked out what to do next!

Fortunately Molly was wearing a collar with a landline number engraved on the tag, but nobody answered when I rang. I decided to try local vets The Storrar Practice, to see whether they had a client matching the details on the tag, and thank goodness they did! They were able to track Molly's owner down on his mobile phone, and from there I was able to get in touch with the very relieved dog walker who came to collect Molly."

Molly's owner and his dog walker were very grateful for Onswitch's help, but really it was all in a day's work for Bertha's team - everyday heroes driver Andy and trainer Helen!
