With an emphasis on hands-on scanning and practical application, this course offers training in advanced abdominal ultrasound techniques. You'll gain confidence in performing more detailed examinations, including imaging of the peritoneum, lymph nodes, adrenal glands, and pancreas, along with interpretation of common pathological findings.
You’ll also receive practical guidance on the use of 2D and Doppler ultrasound to assess the major abdominal vessels, and instruction on how and when to perform ultrasound-guided biopsies.
To get the most from this course, you should already be comfortable locating and assessing the major abdominal organs, including the liver, gallbladder, spleen, kidneys, and bladder.
