This two-day practical course will cover common surgeries of the urinary tract and perineal area in a hands-on surgical setting. It is designed to be practical and informal, with a short description of each technique followed by working in pairs on cadavers. Nick has been teaching practical courses at Central CPD for over 10 years and is excited to be able to offer this course for the first time.
Topics to be covered:
Cystotomy and tube cystostomy
Partial cystectomy
Cystopexy
Scrotal urethrostomy
Urethrotomy
Management of urethral prolapse (seen in juvenile Bulldogs)
Anal sacculectomy
Perineal hernia repair
Tail skin flaps for closure of perineal and lower back wounds
Vulvoplasty and episiotomy
