Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon – South West London | 2-3 Days Week | Up to £90K FTE
Looking for a part-time veterinary role in South West London that offers flexibility, clinical support and the opportunity to help shape the future of a growing practice? This is an exciting opportunity for a Small Animal Veterinary Surgeon to join a well-established first opinion clinic in Putney, working alongside a supportive team and loyal client base.
The Role
This part-time position would suit a confident Veterinary Surgeon who enjoys building client relationships, delivering high-quality patient care and working within a collaborative practice environment.
Key responsibilities include:
- Conducting consultations and developing treatment plans based on evidence-based medicine
- Performing routine surgical procedures within personal competency levels
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and patient histories
- Prescribing and dispensing medications in accordance with current legislation and RCVS guidance
- Referring cases appropriately when advanced care is required
- Supporting a positive and collaborative team culture
- Working closely with the nursing team to maintain branch standards and protocols
- Overseeing consulting and surgical diaries to ensure smooth day-to-day operations
The practice has recently invested in ultrasound facilities, making this an excellent opportunity for a vet with an interest in diagnostic imaging.
Working Pattern
- Part-time position
- 2-3 days per week
- Sole charge role
- 1 in 3 Saturdays
- 1 in 10 Sundays
- No out-of-hours
- No on-call responsibilities

The practice is entering an exciting new phase of growth and development, creating a fantastic opportunity for a new Veterinary Surgeon to help shape its future alongside a Senior RVN.
You will be supported by:
- An experienced Associate Veterinary Surgeon
- A dedicated clinical support team
- Regional management support
- A Regional Head Vet with extensive clinical and leadership experience
- Access to a nearby 24-hour hospital for referrals, advanced diagnostics and out-of-hours care
