The Role:
This first opinion practice is currently recruiting for an Imaging Vet to join the team and co-manage the CT suite and mobile MRI. You will also display good communication skills and the desire to share your knowledge and skills by being an outstanding, positive example to others. As a qualified MRCVS, you’ll already have good experience gained in small animal practice.
The role will primarily involve inpatient work ups - carrying out advanced ultrasounds, performing CT and MRI scans, making an initial clinical assessment and differential diagnosis list for a vast range and number of cases. You will also have the benefit of external support, as the CT images are sent to the knowledgeable team at Vet CT for a full diagnostic report – an excellent learning tool to enhance your knowledge. You will have a keen interest in advanced imaging and ultrasound and hold a certificate or be working towards one.
This 24-hour Hospital offers well-equipped facilities including digital and dental x-ray, ultrasound, tonometer, bronchoscope and endoscope, video otoscope, blood pressure machine, ECG, full lab including microscope, haematology and biochemistry analyser, bone kit as well as full ex-lap kit including suction and diathermy. You will also have access to our state-of-the-art onsite CT scanner and mobile MRI, this is also purpose built facility with 3 large consulting rooms, 2 theatres, large prep area, internal lab facilities and large learning and office spaces.
