A30 Referrals are getting a fresh new look with a new name.

Now known as Cornwall Veterinary Referrals, they have chosen a name that better describes what they have to offer pets and their owners in Cornwall and beyond – marking their place firmly on the map. The team continue to be led by Phil Witte BSc BVSc CertAVP (GSAS) DSAS (Orth) MRCVS.

As a specialist in orthopaedics with a strong interest in neurosurgery, Phil is the only resident Diplomate in Cornwall and Devon, meaning the practice will be able to help pets, referred by other practices, with more complicated issues than before.

The practice, part of the IVC Evidensia referrals network, have big growth plans for the future, including CPD events, client evenings and their Braveheart Awards, when COVID-19 allows.

Phil qualified from Bristol Vet School in 2005. He worked for two years in a mixed practice and then worked for 10 years in a busy referral centre in Hampshire, gaining experience in a wide range of orthopaedic and neurosurgical cases, before moving to Cornwall.

Phil said,

“I am delighted to be working with the well-established team here at Cornwall Veterinary Referrals. My position here is presenting me with cases that demand the breadth and depth of the knowledge I have as a specialist.

He went on to say,

“The practice has superb, modern facilities and we are able to give dedicated, round-the-clock care to our patients.”

Clinical Director Philip Harris said,

“The future of Cornwall Veterinary Referrals is bright. We are always striving to improve the quality of the service we provide for our clients and pets. In future, this will also mean broadening the range of services we offer our referring practices.”
