A popular Ashby-de-la-Zouch veterinary practice has held a bake sale and raised almost £700 for Macmillan Cancer Support.
Many clients attended the mouthwatering fundraiser at Linnaeus-owned Woodward Veterinary Practice, which was organised by newly appointed clinical director Claudia Faria.
Claudia was inspired to raise as much as possible as she has been personally affected by loved ones with cancer, both in Portugal where she is originally from, and in England.
Claudia said: “The service provided by the Macmillan nurses is amazing, noble and selfless.
“The team at Woodward Veterinary Practice pulled together and got baking with some truly fantastic cakes and sweet treats.
“Thanks to their efforts we were able to raise £673 which will go to this worthy cause.”
