BCF Complete Vet Charity Challenge 2016 The Long Ride

The Vet Charity Challenge has taken on a slightly different format this year. 12 BCF Technology staff and customers completed a 3 day cycling challenge in Perthshire, Scotland. The teams split into two groups and covered between 200 and 300 miles.
John McCafferty from BCF commented, “I really enjoyed this year’s Vet Charity Challenge. The routes and conditions were challenging, but we had a strong group and helped each other get to the top of the big climbs. It was also nice to enjoy a few pints and some lovely food in the hotel in Pitlochry afterwards and reflect on the pain that was now behind us.”
Jonathan Pycock, said, “Thanks very much for inviting me along and to BCF for helping raising funds for two wonderful charities SPANA and Hearing Dogs for Deaf People. Another example of the generosity of one of the best companies in the veterinary world.”
Gavin Mitchell, BCF Managing Director added, “Last year we tested a cycle in Scotland with some customers and wanted to make it even bigger this year. The trip has been fantastic, enjoying some great Scottish countryside. It has been a bit blustery and wet at times and we all have sore legs, but it has been worth it. We have started planning for next year. So if you fancy a 5 day 500 mile challenge of the North Coast 500 across the top of Scotland, get in touch.”
The Vet Charity Challenge has raised over £115,000 in the past 5 years for a wide variety of animal based charities.
