The new VGA BUG goggles
Veterinary ultrasound company BCF Technology has released a new version of their BUG viewing goggles device. The new VGA BUG viewing device is a binocular providing a softer, larger and wider image using LCD technology.
BUG goggles can be used with Easi-Scan and Duo-Scan ultrasound scanners. They allow you to see the ultrasound image in front of your eyes whilst keeping your peripheral vision, so you can see what’s going on around you. They are lightweight, at only 235grams; they can be worn all day without strain.
Annie Makin from BCF Engineer comments,
“The new VGA BUG’s have been developed as a result of customer feedback. Customers told us that they like the lower cost of the LCD BUG’s with their softer image to the OLED version. Some customers did ask if we could make the image appear closer, so we developed this for the new VGA BUG’s. The VGA BUG’s have a softer, larger and wider image which customers responded well to in the testing stages.”
The new VGA BUG’s cost £960/€1200 and the OLED BUG’s cost £1680/€2100.
