Carol FeeCarol Fee, Clinical Director of Surgery at the Zetland Veterinary Hospital in Bristol, has won a competition to correctly identify poisons at BSAVA Congress. Vetstream recently joined forces with the Veterinary Poisons Information Service (VPIS) to develop the ten animal poisoning CPD modules which are hosted on Vetacademy and include:Carol Fee commented: “While I am Clinical Director of surgery, we all do first opinion work and see at least one toxicity case a week. We’ve recently treated a dog which ate a whole box of Thorntons and another which suffered mycotoxity and had to be hospitalised. I was very glad to hear I’d won the competition and am looking forward to updating my knowledge so I don't need to rely so much on the medics!” Dr G Mark Johnston, Managing Director of Vetstream, says: “Congratulations to Carol! While we had lots of entries, very few actually got all the answers correct. Carol was one of them and we picked her name out of hat. We hope she enjoys her prize and soon becomes a poisons expert!”
