SPVS President, Nick Stuart and his Practice Manager, Georgina Hills spent a day at a large teaching hospital in London recently observing the NHS through the eyes of veterinary practice.  Their thoughts will form part of a double session at SPVS/VPMA Congress later this month on what veterinary practice can learn from the NHS and vice versa.

They will be joined by Management Consultant, Janine Roberts who has managed one of Londons  largest  A&E departments and Directed large scale improvement  programmes across the NHS.  Janine will in turn spend time at a large London veterinary practice in January ahead of Congress.   Also taking part in the session will be vet, Catherine Oxtoby who is currently studying for a PhD at Nottingham University on safety culture within veterinary practice.

This double session will be part of the SPVS/VPMA Congress ‘Blue Sky Thinking’ stream on Saturday 30th December.  For the full programme and to register, visit www.vpma-spvs-events.co.uk
