Ceva Animal Health, manufacturer of the leading veterinary behavioural products ADAPTIL and FELIWAY, has launched a comprehensive marketing support pack to raise awareness of pheromones as a solution to firework fears in dogs and cats.

The extensive marketing support material highlights the benefits of ADAPTIL and FELIWAY products, alongside the use of Ceva’s ThunderShirt range of calming wraps that naturally help reduce anxiety in pets.

The marketing material features the strapline ‘Turn the big bang into the big calm’ and consists of vet practice display material including a wall/notice board display and a poster and a pet owner leaflet.  A social media toolkit is also available with eye-catching graphics and pre-written posts for vet practices to use on their own social media channels, as well as an ebook to provide long-term help for pet firework fears - ‘How to desensitise your dog and cat to loud noises’.

Ceva will be running its popular fireworks waiting room display competition throughout October to encourage vet practices to utilise the fireworks wall/notice board display material to decorate their waiting rooms and demonstrate to clients how to calm and reassure cats and dogs while fireworks are going off.  Vet practices will be given extra kudos for building a den in the waiting room to demonstrate the benefits of having a safe haven for dogs to retreat to during the festivities.  Veterinary professionals can post pictures of the dens and waiting room displays on the ADAPTIL Facebook page throughout October - www.facebook.com/AdaptilForDogs.  The top five veterinary practice waiting room displays will win one of five £100 Love 2 Shop vouchers.

Ceva is running commercial offers in the run up to the firework season, which practices are being encouraged to pass to their clients to drive volume.

“Over 40% of dogs and 30% of cats are afraid of fireworks1,” comments Nicki Glen, project manager at Ceva Animal Health.  “Our extensive fireworks marketing support will help vet practices to raise awareness of the benefits of using pheromones, alongside preventative measures such as the ThunderShirt calming wrap, to support pets and their owners while fireworks are going off.”
