Ceva Animal Health, the manufacturer of Ketofen, has signed up as a gold sponsor for the NACFT (National Association of Cattle Foot Trimmers) UK Cattle Lameness Conference which takes place on Thursday 16 and Friday 17 April 2020 in Congresbury, near Bristol.

Ceva’s sponsorship will help highlight best practice amongst vets, farmers and professional foot trimmers to encourage them to work more closely together to raise welfare standards throughout the cattle industry. As part of the sponsorship, Ceva will be taking a stand at the event and a Ceva representative will also present information on how the management of pain and inflammation fits into a comprehensive lameness treatment programme.

The first day of the conference features on-farm practical workshops and demonstrations, followed by the NACFT AGM and dinner, with the second day of the conference consisting of an extensive programme of lectures.  Speakers include Professor Becky Whay from the University of Bristol, Canadian foot trimmer, Doug Johnstone, and renowned cattle vet, Sara Pedersen.

Peter Keyte, ruminant business unit manager at Ceva, comments: “We are delighted to be sponsoring the NACFT UK Cattle Lameness Conference which will help raise welfare standards across the industry and promote best practice.”
