Everyone at Medivet would like to offer massive congratulations to Charlotte Futter, Student Veterinary Nurse, who was recently named winner of the Petplan pet insurance advisor of the year award. With thousands of nominations, we’re extremely proud of Charlotte’s achievement in being chosen winner.
Charlotte works at our Wheatley branch and is studying to be a qualified nurse at our dedicated nurse training centre, Medivet Training College. She’s delighted to have won, and thinks that it’s vital that practice members aim to promote insurance to clients: “I am so shocked that I was nominated for and won Petplan advisor of the year award 2014, I feel like I am just doing my job. It’s an amazing feeling to be recognised for it. For this role, you need to be able to communicate really well with both clients and insurance companies, you need to have a good understanding and knowledge of how insurance works and the importance of it. I feel it is so important nowadays to have full cover because there is so much we can do now to help animals.”
As for Charlotte, after her night out at the awards ceremony she’s looking forward to getting back to her job and continuing to develop her skills as a nurse, “I love my job; there is a really nice balance between working with the animals and educating the clients. Every day is so varied. Once I’m fully qualified I can’t wait to become a head nurse and further my career within the veterinary industry”.More from
