Delegates at the CPD event
Following a highly successful CPD event as part of Gastric Ulcer Awareness Month in May, attending Veterinary Surgeons and Merial Animal Health raised £1350 for the charity ‘Homing Ex-Racehorses Organisation Scheme’ (HEROS). This money went towards organising the charity’s annual show, which raised a further £6,000 for this worthy cause.
The money was raised from the CPD event “A Practical Approach to Common Equine Problems” which took place at the Nottingham Activity Centre on 18th May. Vets had reserved their places at a cost of £25 and many delegates chose to donate their reserve to HEROS. Dr Emma Batson says: “The event was a real success, providing CPD on varied and interesting subjects as well as raising money for a very good cause. Thank you to all delegates who donated their reservation costs to HEROS.”
Grace Muir from HEROS said: “The show was excellent this year and made a profit of around £6,000. Thank you to Merial for supporting us and hopefully we can do it again next year.”
