CVS' Growth Continues With The Acquisition Of Four Further Veterinary Practices

CVS (UK) Ltd has announced the acquisition of four further veterinary practices bringing the total number of practices it owns across the UK to 92 operating from 253 sites.
The latest practices to join CVS are:
Crescent Veterinary Clinic Ltd, The Crescent, Melton Mowbray, Leics LE13 0NF
Crescent Veterinary Clinic was acquired in July 2013. It is a single site, mixed practice which has been established for more than 100 years. It employs five full time vets, providing a full range of services, including a 24 hour in-house emergency service. Peter McNaught, who has been a sole trader since 2007, is now Clinical Director.
Miller and Swann
Miller & Swann Veterinary Surgery, 123 South Street, Elgin, Scotland IV30 1JB
Miller & Swann was acquired in September 2013. It is a single site small animal practice. An accredited veterinary nurse training practice, it employs four full time vets, six nurses and three support staff. Ian Swann is now Clinical Director of the practice.
West Mount (Halifax)
West Mount Vets, 187 Pellon Lane, Halifax, West Yorks, HX1 5RJ
West Mount Vets was acquired in September 2013. It is a five site small animal practice based in West Yorkshire. The practice comprises nine full time vets, 17 nurses and nine support staff. The two retiring directors, Richard Holborow and Clare Tapsfield-Wright, are both well known within the veterinary profession with Richard, a recent past-president of SPVS and Clare currently standing as an elected member of RCVS Council. Helen Whitehill, branch manager of the practice's hospital, now takes on the role of Clinical Director.
Anchorage Veterinary Hospital, South Walsham Road, Acle, Norfolk NR13 3EA
The Anchorage Veterinary Hospital, a single site Tier Three veterinary hospital, was acquired in September 2013. The practice has five full time vets, seven nurses and four support staff. It provides its own out of hours service.4331 views
