More than 21 per cent of all UK small animal vets are estimated to have viewed CPD made available as podcasts for the first time by Dechra Veterinary Products.
The new series of presentations on canine hyperadrenocorticism were launched on the company's online learning resource, The Dechra Academy, and were also made available as webcasts with supporting notes.
The Cushing's Challenge series was designed to challenge vets to update their knowledge on the syndrome and featured six presentations, released in stages from October last year.
Dechra Veterinary Products Brand Manager, Craig Sankey said: “We're delighted that the Cushing's Challenge series has been so well received after developing this series of CPD sessions to support veterinary professionals who want to update their knowledge.
“Our figures show that an estimated 21.4 per cent of small animal vets have visited the dedicated section on our website since the product was launched, either watching the webinar or downloading the notes and podcasts.”
The Cushing's Challenge series was the first time Dechra have used podcasts to deliver CPD. They can be downloaded and listened to on any MP3 player as well as being viewed on a PC or tablet as a webcast. CPD certificates are available at the end of the series via email.
Mr Sankey added: “Each of the presentations varies in length, from around 12 to 25 minutes with the most recently released episodes focusing on diagnostic tests and differentiation tests.”
The free-of-charge CPD, which also features episodes on pathophysiology, clinical signs and routine lab tests, is accompanied by a raft of client support material for practices as Dechra focuses on Cushing's with its new Vetoryl® campaign.
