The Purina® PRO PLAN® Vet Nurse Symposium, a virtual event dedicated to empowering veterinary nurses and clinic support staff, will take place on Wednesday, 11th December 2024 from 14:00 – 18:30 (GMT) / 15:00 – 19:30 (CET). The symposium will address key nutrition topics, as well as client communication and mental well-being. Designed to enhance professional development and support daily practice, this event provides an opportunity to gain practical insights and innovative tools for improving patient care, building stronger client relationships, and streamlining clinic operations.

The event will feature an engaging lineup of globally recognised experts who will deliver interactive sessions tailored to empower veterinary nurses in their roles. Covering a wide range of topics, the symposium aims to provide attendees with the knowledge and skills they need to excel in patient care, client communication and operational efficiency. The sessions have been carefully curated to address the evolving challenges faced by veterinary nurses and offer actionable solutions to enhance their impact in the workplace.

High-level key opinion leaders including Dr. Cecilia Villaverde, Consultant at Expert Pet Nutrition and Dr. Aarti Kathrani, Senior Lecturer in Small Animal Internal Medicine at the Royal Veterinary College will share practical insights on key areas of interest to veterinary nurses.  Sessions on managing adverse food reactions, incorporating probiotics into clinical practice and acute gastrointestinal disease will provide a practical focus to supporting patient care. Attendees will also explore strategies to build strong personal and professional client relationships, including how to initiate effective nutrition conversations and resolve potential conflicts.

Mental well-being will be a key focus, with expert tips and tricks to help veterinary nurses maintain their emotional resilience and thrive in their demanding roles. Additionally, the event will introduce Purina’s in-clinic tools, designed to streamline daily operations and improve overall efficiency.

Veterinary nurses and clinic staff are invited to attend this free virtual event to gain knowledge, inspiration, and support in their professional journey and can register here: https://www.vet-center.eu/eu/pro-plan-vet-nurse-symposium
