Mark, a veterinary surgeon originally from Bristol, had the idea to bring a high quality, cost effective veterinary service for customers visiting Mole Valley Farmers (MVF). Located next to the store at Newton Abbot, if a success, there are plans to expand this concept to other stores around the South West Region. The practice has an experienced team of veterinary surgeons and nurses plus a fully equipped surgery with the latest digital x-ray facilities as well as an in-house laboratory. To compliment this, the building also has a pleasant waiting room and reception area where the friendly receptionist welcomes you to the practice. The outside of the building is finished with an attractive wood style cladding to fit in with the MVF style providing the vets practice with it’s own identity.   Mark and his team chose a modular building instead of a traditional method of construction, due to the fast track build and ease of implementation, meaning comparable costs yet minimal disruption. Mark commented, “When I looked into the different options I was surprised how quickly a modular building could be built. The building was delivered and installed on site in one day and completed externally and internally in just under a month. We were trading within 9 weeks from start to finish! I also liked the fact that a modular building could be clad in a number of finishes to suit almost any style. Gone are the days of modular buildings easily identifiable in their battleship grey.”  Wernick got the contract after a tendering process involving two other companies with the final decision being made after a presentation to executive members of MVF. Mark commented, “Wernick were very flexible in their approach to discovering and delivering precisely what we wanted. Their passion for tailoring their buildings to the customers needs was very evident during their initial presentation”.  Much careful planning was needed for this project to get all the required facilities into a limited amount of space. Mark, enjoyed the whole process and was very happy with the whole experience of working with Wernick. He commented, “Our Wernick representative was excellent, we felt like we were looked after throughout the whole process from the initial meetings through to the actual building process. Wernick seemed to have a clear plan from start to finish”. Mark also commented that first impressions of new modular building have been positive. “Once the building was complete the Mole Valley board members and Chief executive came to visit and were very impressed with the building and inside facilities. They also liked the fact that the buildings outside finish looked perfectly in style for a well established agricultural retailer." Mole Valley Farmers Ltd (MVF), are suppliers of a vast range of agricultural goods and feeds for farmers and the general public. They have many stores throughout England and Wales.
