Free Online CPD For OV Conference Delegates
Delegates to this year’s Official Veterinarian Conference will receive a three-month free trial of Improve International’s recently launched online platform, Bitesize. It will give them nine hours of free CPD across the three months with the convenient 24/7 access offered by online learning platforms.
2016 Official Veterinarian Conference, ‘Safeguarding Animal Welfare – the role of the OV’ takes place from 29-30 September at the Alexandra House Conference Centre in Swindon. The programme includes lecture streams and round-table discussions on themes relating to Large Animals, Small Animals and Equines.
Improve’s Bitesize CPD offers an ideal solution for vets requiring high quality learning on clinical topics in short ‘chunks’, at a time and place to suit them. Courses are updated regularly to ensure their currency and cover topics including soft tissue surgery, ophthalmology and feline medicine. For their subscription, vets receive three hours of CPD every month and veterinary nurses receive three hours every other month.
"Attending the OV Conference is now even better value,” commented David Babington, Managing Director of Improve International, which handles OV registration and training in England, Scotland and Wales. “In addition to the cutting edge CPD on offer during the event, delegates have the opportunity to top up their knowledge and learn new skills using our innovative Bitesize online CPD free of charge for three months afterwards.”

Notes to editors:
This OV Conference is a collaboration between Improve International, which handles OV registration and training in England, Scotland and Wales; 5m Publishing (both companies are part of the Benchmark Holdings Group) and the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA). Their combined objectives are to provide a forum to discuss the latest developments in OV work and to offer an opportunity for OVs to network and share experiences and ideas. OV training is developed by Improve International, a veterinary CPD specialist, in conjunction with its assessment partner the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies (ESVPS) and Harper Adams University, which validates the qualifications. Improve was appointed to handle OV registration and training in England, Scotland and Wales by the Animal and Plant Health Agency (APHA) in 2014.
