The Gnasher dental X-ray machine
GNASHING Through The Snow: Vets4Pets Bristol Acquires New Dental X-ray Machine
With Christmas only a few days away, a Vets4Pets practice in Bristol is embracing the festive spirit – by naming a brand-new dental X-ray machine ‘Gnasher’.
The machine, which is an iM3 Revolution 4DC, has been named ‘Gnasher’ after a team vote. It uses digital imaging to accurately detect dental diseases, enabling the practice to enhance their dental service offering.
‘Gnasher’ is a unique addition to the practice’s surgery kit and joins de-scaling machine ‘Dental Washington’ in the dental room.
The machine allows the practice to quickly detect common problems such as fractured, impacted or embedded teeth, or identify where an overlying crown is missing or has broken away, dramatically improving the speed at which the surgical team can deliver treatment.
Kate Holton, Practice Owner and Veterinary Surgeon at Vets4Pets Yate, said: “The addition of Gnasher to our surgery will allow us to detect diseases at their earliest stage so we can plan procedures sooner, and more accurately, providing an even better service to our patients.
“As well as the improved dental treatments that are now available to all patients, the act of naming new kit is an important team bonding exercise - as well as a bit of good fun!”
