Hallmarq Veterinary Imaging, a global leader in innovative veterinary diagnostic imaging, has opened a new manufacturing facility in Chicago, USA, to meet surging demand for their market-leading advanced imaging systems, including their Standing Equine MRI and CT scanner as well as their Small Animal MRI machine. The new manufacturing facility is over twice as large as their previous premises and, in addition to allowing them to stock their full range of products and streamline deliveries, also offers a range of green improvements. Demand for advanced veterinary imaging systems has grown significantly over the last few decades, and Hallmarq has continued to evolve and expand to meet this demand with state-of-the-art systems tailored to veterinary patients. Alongside their popular zero-helium small animal MRI machines, their Standing Equine MRI and Vision CT scanner are particularly in-demand. The new premises offer 6,300 square feet of space, enabling them to stock each of their systems and modular options under the same roof.

Situated just two miles from their original premises, the new site is conveniently located and will allow production and delivery to be streamlined for customers, saving both time and money for the company and their clients. The systems can now be assembled, adapted and tested on site before being shipped to practices at a time that’s convenient for them.

Mike Torres, Global Vice President of Customer Success at Hallmarq Veterinary Imaging, comments on the new system: “The ultimate goal is to provide ‘just-in-time’ deliveries. Having the new warehouse facility means that from the moment that the customer signs a contract, to the moment they sign system acceptance, the process is seamless.” He adds, “Increased space, the ability to stock parts and product lines and carry out light in-house assembly all negate the need for any unwanted stress for the customer. When their site is ready then so are we!”

Alongside increased space for product storage and assembly, the new premises could offer up to 50% more space if a mezzanine floor is added, allowing for future growth with reduced environmental impact as the company continues to expand. Additional advantages of the new premises include an enhanced power supply and climate control. These are critical for thorough testing and quality control protocols, ensuring faultless functionality as the systems are integrated into practices.

In line with their long-standing commitment to sustainability, Hallmarq’s new facility also features green improvements, including LED lighting throughout. Having been awarded the ESG Excellent Award in recognition of their environmental commitments last year, they continue to review, optimise and audit their processes to minimise their environmental impact. They plan to maintain their holistic approach, supporting not just customers and their patients but also their staff, communities and the environment as they work towards carbon neutrality.

This latest expansion comes several months after Hallmarq expanded their UK premises, reflecting the continued growth in demand for their innovative imaging systems. As a leader in the veterinary imaging sector, they remain steadfast in their unwavering commitment to offer state-of-the-art advanced imaging for veterinary patients while prioritising sustainability as their business grows.
