Image of car Veterinary nurses are in for a real treat this year as Hill’s Pet Nutrition launches a fantastic new initiative across the UK that promises to get tongues wagging. Drive Nutrition is a revolutionary new concept on-line that runs from now until the 1st September and offers an exciting opportunity for one vet nurse to win their very own smart car! Registered VNs and student VNs can take part simply by visiting www.hillsvet.co.uk or www.hillsvet.ie and clicking on the Drive Nutrition button to be in with a chance to win. At Drive Nutrition, running through to 1st September, vet nurses can enjoy the fun stuff or get serious and engage with nutrition training on-line. Interactions with the site earn competition entries that can be thought of as similar to lottery tickets. The more competition entries the participant has, the greater their chances of winning. Someone with just one competition entry, however, could ultimately win the car. As well as the car there are loads of additional prizes – from instant wins that are given to someone who just happens to be logged in at the time, to weekly competition prizes – there are lots of highly desirable goodies including Wiis, iPods and cameras. One of the first fun activities is triggered by registration: the nurse is sent a bandana which they pop on their pet, take a snap and post on the site to win a competition entry. Competition entries can also be earned by linking through with to Facebook and Twitter accounts, sharing a top tip, making a recommendation using quick reco at www.hillsvet.co.uk or www.hillsvet.ie, registering a client on the puppy or kitten programmes, or referring friends to Drive Nutrition. There will be scavenger hunts and trivia questions, as well as lots of opportunities to engage with friends and colleagues. Michelle Nelson, RVN C&G Cert SAN, VetEssentials Brand Manager says, “I’m a qualified veterinary nurse myself and I know when I worked in practice I would have been really excited about this programme. I love the idea that nurses can share ideas and network with colleagues. With the opportunity to access quality CPD and win prizes too, I think Drive Nutrition has something to offer everybody. I encourage nurses to sign up as soon as possible to start clocking up entries and increase their chances of winning our great little smart car!”
