Hill’s Vets On The Rise

Hill’s Pet Nutrition has promoted two vets to key roles within the organisation. Tim Dobbins will become Associate Veterinary Affairs Manager, reporting to Adrian Pratt, Veterinary Affairs Manager for the UK and Ireland. Tim joined Hill’s eight years ago as Veterinary Business Advisor, working directly with practices, before being promoted to Field Sales Manager in 2005. A 1990 Edinburgh graduate, Tim has a Certificate in Small Animal Medicine and worked in referral practice prior to joining Hill’s. Tim will be working closely with the vet schools, as well as providing support for veterinary associations, congresses and events. Sara Locke will be moving on from the post of Staff Clinician to become Associate Customer Marketing Manager for the veterinary channel in UK and Ireland. Sara will take responsibility for advertising and promotional activities, as well as developing marketing programmes that support veterinary practices. She is a 2004 Pretoria graduate and has been with Hill’s for two years. Adrian Pratt said that the move signaled the company’s commitment to the veterinary profession, “Hill’s are one of the largest employers of vets worldwide and it’s great to be able to offer exceptional opportunities in terms of career progression. Appreciating the issues and concerns that vets in practice have and possessing a deep level of understanding only comes from having been in that position yourself. Sara and Tim will now use that knowledge in support of the profession. Having a team of vets working in key positions within Hill’s, including our MD who is also a vet, ensures we deliver relevant products and services that benefit practices and patients.”
