Boehringer Ingelheim has launched a new webinar on its Boehringer Academy CPD portal - www.boehringer-academy.co.uk- to educate veterinary professionals on the implications of GDPR to their veterinary practices.
Entitled ‘GDPR: information for veterinary practices’the informative webinar is presented by Alex Denoon, a life sciences lawyer at leading specialist business law firm, Marriott Harrison LLP. The online seminar covers the basics of GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), which comes into force on 25 May 2018 and replaces the UK Data Protection Act.
The webinar provides an overview of what constitutes personal data, categories of data such as employee data and client data, ICO (Information Commissioner’s Office) guidance, practical Q&As on veterinary services including vaccination reminders and practice promotions and the implications of multiple branches under one parent practice.
