Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health Launches New ProZinc Webinar And Toolkit
Boehringer Ingelheim Animal Health UK Ltd. has launched a comprehensive toolkit, including a new CPD webinar and vet and pet owner resources, to highlight the benefits of ProZinc and help vet practices and their clients to successfully manage diabetes in cats and dogs.

ProZinc is the recommended first-choice insulin for use in cats and can now provide once daily control in dogs due to its slow onset and prolonged duration of action1-4, which is discussed throughout the resources.
Informative ProZinc webinar
The new CPD webinar for vets and vet nurses, which is available to view on the Boehringer Academy, is 15 minutes long and is entitled ‘How to best use ProZinc to successfully manage diabetes in cats and dogs’. It is hosted by Dr Jamie Adams BVSc PhD MRCVS, senior brand technical advisor at Boehringer Ingelheim. Jamie guides delegates through how to best use ProZinc and highlights its prolonged duration of action, why it is the recommended first-choice insulin for diabetic cats and how it can now also provide once daily control in diabetic dogs.

Comprehensive ProZinc toolkit
The new ProZinc toolkit features comprehensive resources to refresh vet professionals and educate owners on how to successfully manage diabetes in cats and dogs. The toolkit includes an informative ProZinc diabetes management reference guide covering how to make a confident diagnosis and start treatment with ProZinc, how best to monitor and reassess the patient and how to adjust the ProZinc dose for optimal control. In addition, the guide features a handy ProZinc stabilisation flowchart.
The toolkit also comprises glucose curve charts, if required, as well as other useful practice resources such as pet owner guides, home care journals and a link to the ProZinc pet owner website.
The website – www.prozinc.co.uk - contains informative content to help owners feel confident in managing their pet’s diabetes. It includes short videos demonstrating how to give ProZinc injections to cats and dogs and information on what to do in an emergency.
