Leading Vet Referral Centre Opens In Central London

The Specialists London’s pet owners now have Europe’s largest private specialist veterinary practice right on their doorstep. Davies Veterinary Specialists (DVS) has brought its top vets to the heart of the town with the launch of Davies London, at the premises of the centrally located Hyde Park Veterinary Centre on Connaught St W2. Despite the highest density of companion animal ownership in the UK, Londoners have until now had to travel long distances for specialist veterinary care. Davies London now provides convenient access to internationally renowned veterinary specialists, right in the centre of London. Davies Veterinary Specialists employs 40 veterinary surgeons, 23 of them RCVS Recognised Specialists and more than 50 nurses. The main hospital, based in Bedfordshire, has sophisticated diagnostic, surgical and treatment facilities and offers integrated multi-disciplinary care. When her Welsh Springer Spaniel Rascal contracted meningitis last year and needed life-saving treatment, she initially needed to travel more than 50 miles to see a specialist. She said: “Rascal is still on vet-administered medication and regular check-ups from her specialist but from now on it’s no longer going to be a three hour round trip. Instead it’ll be a short walk away for her to receive the best possible treatment from some of the most highly qualified vets in Europe.” The Hyde Park Veterinary Centre is a well-known and long-established central London veterinary clinic.
