Approved veterinary SQP regulator, Vetpol Ltd, is pleased to welcome Lisa Giddings to its experienced team as Professional Development Lead, starting at the beginning of March. Drawing on her wealth of experience in the veterinary sector and strong reputation in the industry, Lisa will play a large part in assisting with the planning of Vetpol’s first ever SQP Congress, taking place in Solihull on April 16th 2024, as well as the Vetpol 2024 Munch and Learn Online CPD event. Tickets for SQP Congress can be found on the Vetpol website.

Having previously worked for many years in the veterinary business field, Lisa has developed strong relationships throughout the community and has an appreciation of the benefits SQPs can deliver in veterinary practices and in retail. Lisa also works as a freelance consultant for Virbac, Westpoint Vets and her own project, Nurture Nature Farm bringing experience of farm projects to her already diverse skillset.

Lisa will join Vetpol to help the team in its planning for the upcoming SQP Congress. The congress will be the first of its kind, offering an opportunity for SQPs across the UK to meet other like-minded individuals, network and learn. Serving as 7.5 hours of accredited CPD, Lisa and the team are working tirelessly to ensure the event is highly interactive and a big success.

Caroline, Director at Vetpol, commented on Lisa’s addition, saying “We are so pleased to be welcoming Lisa as a fully-fledged member of the Vetpol team. With her business background, extensive knowledge in the field and clear commitment to making sure SQPs have a dedicated space to find support and resources, we are sure she will be an excellent addition and will help us to further enhance the opportunities that we can offer to SQPs.”

Lisa is looking forward to working with qualified SQPs, SQP students, employers and suppliers providing CPD. “In my new role as Professional Development Lead, I’ll be working closely with Caroline and the team to raise awareness of what SQPs can deliver, so that everyone understands how they can help to improve animal welfare along with the wider benefits for the practices and businesses they work within. It’s really important to all of us at Vetpol to ensure that our learners and qualified SQPs have the opportunity to access high quality CPD and enjoy relevant learning experiences. I’m delighted to be working in a role where I can make such a positive difference.”

Anyone interested in SQP Congress and the Munch and Learn programmes, can visit the Vetpol website or contact Lisa directly [email protected].
