Birds eye view of huge crowds at 2013 London Vet Show Almost 4,000 veterinary professionals (3,978 unique attendees, not including exhibitors) packed out the annual London Vet Show at the Olympia (November 21st and 22nd 2013) – making it the UK’s largest event over two days for the profession. Delegates filled the exhibition hall and CPD-accredited lecture streams and hailed the cost-effective, compact format of CloserStill’s leading healthcare event, which for the first time included content for equine and farm vets as well companion animal content Vicky Vine, Head of Marketing at British Veterinary Association commented “The atmosphere is amazing and everyone is very happy – that is creating a real buzzy feeling. We have had more membership leads from this show than ever before; I reckon it’s four times what we get from other shows and it has been busy throughout. The feedback that we have had so far on content shows that the lectures were of great quality again, but it was also pleasing to see how many of the vets spent time talking with exhibitors to find out all about the latest development. Almost 4,000 delegates attended the event, with 77% of those delegates choosing to come for both days. 341 suppliers and service providers to the veterinary sector reported brisk business and more than 240 of the exhibitors have already booked for the 2014 event which returns to Olympia on November 20th & 21st 2014. Christoph Sprung, Managing Director of Eickemeyer remarked “People are coming here with a plan and a budget.  The orders we have taken on the stand justify our being here on its own never mind all the other connections we are making”. Emily Nightingale, a vet from The Forge Veterinary Centre has suggested that “LVS is a world stage for current thinking and new ideas. I will come away from it knowing new things and that my eyes have been opened to others”. Rob Chapman, Event Director, London Vet Show: The 2014 London Vet Show was an outstanding success and we have had brilliant feedback from both delegates and exhibitors asking for more of the same in 2014. I am delighted that we will be continuing to work with both the RVC and the BVA over the coming year, as well as further developing our relationships with our sponsors who have also been providing great quality content to the show.
