Zoe Zoe On Saturday 13th October, LUSH Covent Garden will be hosting an Anti Puppy Farming Talk with TV Vet - Marc Abraham, in support of PUP AID "At a time of year when many people's minds turn to gift ideas they should remember that puppies aren't presents and you should try not to let your heart rule your head; if you're considering buying a puppy please wait until after New Year and consider adopting from rescue (where there are plenty of puppies) or source a responsible breeder instead where you always see the puppies interacting with mum - and never buy from a pet shop, garden centre, free newspaper advert or any website offering delivery - as these pups are most likely born on horrific puppy farms hundreds of miles away." - Marc Abraham, BVM&S MRCVS The free talks will take place at 1.00 PM, 2.00 PM, 3.00 PM, 4.00 PM and 5.00 PM and Marc will also be joined by 3 rescued, ex-puppy farm breeding bitches, Zoe (pictured – on day of rescue), Tessy and Kayla, and relaying their devastating stories of life on a Puppy Farm. “Zoe’s 5 years at a puppy farm has left its mark. She has had multiple caesarians, a very saggy undercarriage and an arched back. Zoe has a scarring mark on her back leg where she has been tied up, her muscle tone is poor probably from little or no exercise. She has mis-formed pads on two of her paws, which make walking hard work. Her teeth are worn down, similar to that of intensively reared pigs biting the bars of their confinement through boredom.” Linzi Follett – rescued Zoe from a Puppy Farm. So if you're a dog lover bring your friends and family as this is your chance to find out more about the UK's horrific puppy farming industry and how, in fact, to choose a happy healthy puppy.  Limited edition PAW soap Limited edition PAW soap And, in further support of the Anti Puppy Farming campaign, Lush Covent Garden will also be selling the limited edition PAW soap (£2.80) with all sales (minus VAT) going to PUP AID!
