Dechra Veterinary Products has launched a new website offering comprehensive advice and guidance on flea infestations and how to treat them in pet owners' homes.
Dechra, marketer of the well-known environmental flea spray, R.I.P Fleas Extra™, has launched www.ripfleas.co.uk which aims to support veterinary professionals as they educate owners in infestation prevention.
The website includes an owner leaflet on R.I.P Fleas Extra which can be downloaded as well as a FAQs section, with information on the safe use of the product.
Carol Morgan, Brand Manager, Dechra Veterinary Products, said: “Flea infestations used to be confined to the summer months, but as the central heating is turned on heading into winter, this is a nuisance problem which continues throughout the year.
“We have developed the website as a resource which practices can share with owners, offering easy to understand information about the flea life cycle which can be difficult to explain. Using the website will ensure that the product is used effectively, which means fewer infestations and therefore happier clients.”
Dechra Veterinary Products has produced a waiting room poster for practices, which highlights the issue and tells owners where they can see more information about preventing infestations.
Mrs Morgan added: “R.I.P Fleas Extra is a long-lasting environmental household flea spray with one can sufficient to cover the equivalent of an average three to four bedroom home protecting it for up to 12 months.”
The product has a unique triple action formula to break the flea life cycle including an agent which provides instant paralysis of adult fleas; a fast-acting insecticide and a long-lasting insect growth regulator which prevents flea eggs and larvae from developing into adults.2661 views
