NORFOLK VET PRACTICE COMPLETES £1.5M EXPANSION AND DOUBLES IN SIZE

Taverham Veterinary Hospital has recently completed an extensive £1.5m expansion which has seen the referral hospital double in size and launch a new CT service, as well as the addition of several new treatment areas.
The works came in response to a growing caseload and increased demand for specialist services from pet owners in the surrounding Norwich area.
The 240sqm expansion has enabled the hospital, which is part of vet group IVC Evidensia, to add two new theatres, an isolation ward and two new consultation rooms to its existing facilities. The existing kennels have also been expanded and new dog and cat wards have been created to further improve patient facilities.
Creating physical space for a new CT scanner has improved the hospital’s diagnostic capabilities and enabled the launch of a new CT service for patients, while the new purpose-built dentistry suite and orthopaedic theatre provide ample space and enhanced facilities for dedicated veterinary teams to work with patients in.
Norwich Night Vet, which is run by a dedicated team from Taverham Veterinary Hospital and provides an out-of-hours service to pets in the local area, has also benefited from the expansion with a dedicated area to triage and treat emergency cases in a calm and soothing environment.
