Commencing at 2pm on Steyne Gardens, this unique canine competition is open to dogs of all ages, shapes and sizes. Each class costs just £1 per dog and will be judged by vet Marc Abraham - based at Grove Lodge Vets’ Southwick clinic – as well as giving pet advice on TV programmes such as Daybreak and BBC Breakfast. Chestnut Tree House cares for children of all ages with life limiting illnesses, as well as looking after their families, and serves a huge catchment area encompassing East and West Sussex and South East Hampshire. Vet Marc Abraham says “Recently I was extremely fortunate to be given a guided tour of Chestnut Tree House and was truly amazed by the phenomenal staff and ultra-modern facilities available to children and their families. I came away with a much deeper insight into the wonderful purpose of Chestnut Tree House and its invaluable place in our community to provide comfort, support, and best quality of life. It was an amazing experience and one that I’ll always remember”. Marc continues “Animals and children have an unique bond so what better way to celebrate this by a fun dog show! Worthing Rotary Carnival has been a major annual fixture since the 1920s so Grove Lodge Vets is truly honoured to have been invited to take part in such an important and prestigious local event. ” Caroline Roberts-Quigley, Community Fundraiser for Chestnut Tree House, says “We are so grateful to Marc and Grove Lodge Vets for all their support. The dog show will be a great way for all our two and four-legged friends to support Chestnut Tree House and have fun raising vital funds to enable us to continue providing care for local children and their families.” As well as dog show classes such as Waggiest Tail, Best Sausage Catcher and Child’s Best Friend, there’ll also be an exciting tombola with lots of great prizes including cuddly toy cats and dogs. Worthing Rotary Carnival Fun Dog Show takes place on Bank Holiday Monday 26th August 2013 on Steyne Gardens, Worthing; dog show from 2pm. All dogs must be kept on leads, and please always pick up after your dog. For more info visit www.grovelodgevets.co.uk
