PRESS RELEASE ONCORE EPD Targeting Weight Management Clinics
ONCORE ePD announce the launch of a one-week online workshop entitled 'Targeting Weight Management Clinics', which will be delivered from their interactive learning platform.
A valuable asset in setting up or improving services
The workshop offers the tools and knowledge to promote successful, professional and profitable weight management clinics, and will be a valuable asset to practices who are both setting up and improving their services in this area.
Pet obesity biggest concern for majority of UK vets
As course tutor and managing director of ONCORE ePD, veterinary nurse Jill Macdonald says:
"Pet obesity is on the increase, and a recent report from the BVA identified that over 60% of vets felt that pet obesity was the biggest welfare concern for UK pets - and I'm sure that concern is echoed by nurses. As a profession it is our responsibility to ensure that we do all that we can to educate pet owners in promoting the best health and welfare for their pets, but we all know how tough it can be to achieve commitment and compliance with weight loss. It's so important for the whole team to be working together, ensuring that the same message is being conveyed to clients; from vets, receptionists and nurses.
Helping nurses make a difference
The workshop offers candidates with a clear walk-through of the topic, enabling them to develop skills that will really help to make a difference - from communication with clients to setting up protocols; and a practice plan that will get the whole team working towards the same goals."
New style of course
The one-week workshop is a new style of short course from ONCORE, enabling busy professionals to quickly gain the information they need; and resources include a lecture, interactive and tutor-guided discussions forums, plus multiple supporting materials, tools and ideas for your clinics. The workshop is suitable for nurses, vets, managers, and anyone in the practice team wishing to drive fresh ideas into the weight management service provided to clients.
The first intake is planned to start on the 10th of July 2017, will cost £49, and spaces will be limited to ensure an optimal experience.
