The Pet Show Partners With Charities For Huge Fundraising Dog Walk

The Pet Show has joined forces with The Heart of England Community Foundation and The Air Ambulance Service to support two huge charity dog walks, which will take place on the two days of the show. Beginning on the 20th July, the two walks are expected to attract over 1,000 participants each day, a huge number which reflects the efforts of both charities. The dog walk course around scenic Stoneleigh Park, the site of The Pet Show, is around 1km in total, meaning dogs, adults and children of all ages will be able to join in and complete the event. The Pet Show director, Ian Sear, said: ‘When we were told about the two charities’ plans for a dog walk we were really keen to get involved and support them as much as possible. “The Pet Show is all about celebrating pets and pet owners and we see our support of the walk as another way of manifesting this. Having the dog walk take place on the same day as the show is a real honour for us. Sam Barrow, fund development manager for The Heart of England, said: “We met the event organisers at Stoneleigh Park and were informed about The Pet Show. “Subsequent meetings with the show organisers made us realise that this was going to be a fantastic weekend for all involved. The ideal venue just materialised! We are really excited to be working alongside another great local charity in The Air Ambulance and the dog walk is going to be a fantastic, fun event whatever the weather.” The Pet Show takes place at Stoneleigh Park, Warwickshire on 20th and 21st July 2013. It is set to feature more animals, exhibitors and displays than any other multi-pet event in the UK. The 21,000 square metre exhibition space will be home to over 20,000 pet lovers and will feature stands by some of the biggest names in the pet world, including Royal Canin, The British Horse Society and James Wellbeloved.
