The Pet Vet Is Announced As A Finalist In The UK Customer Satisfaction Awards 2026
The Pet Vet have been named finalists in the UK Customer Satisfaction Awards 2026, facilitated by the Institute of Customer Service, in the Best Customer Experience category. This is The Pet Vet’s second finalist accolade in recent weeks, with the group also being named in the Best Family Business category at the Lloyd’s British Business Excellence Awards.
Dr Mel Fuller, CEO at The Pet Vet, says: “Achieving finalist status at these prestigious awards is testament to the talent, drive and passion of all our colleagues, who consistently aspire to deliver the highest standards of clinical care and exceptional end-to-end customer service. We don’t do the brilliant work for external validation, but it’s certainly appreciated and celebrated when we do receive these incredible nominations.”
C hairman & Founder Dr Rob Jones MRCVS (pictured alongside Dr Mel Fuller) opened the first The Pet Vet surgery in Doncaster in 2011, with a vision to have the best people working in purpose-built facilities with state-of-the-art equipment to deliver exceptional clinical care and customer service at a fair price. To date, The Pet Vet has 12 independent surgeries across the country, and working alongside Mel, Rob remains actively involved in the business, ensuring his founding values are sustained. Rob is steadfast that The Pet Vet remains in his family; always.
For customer convenience and wrap-around patient care, all surgeries across the group are open 364 days a year, offer home visits, late night appointments and overnight hospitalisation.
And because The Pet Vet is independent, and not governed by a corporate entity, they have the flexibility to tailor their offering to suit the needs of their local communities and the clinical interests of their teams.
This business model differs from the typical archetypes with every surgery (designed by Rob) being purpose built with large, modern facilities and supported by continuous investment. This attracts market-leading veterinary colleagues and gives capacity and capability to perform advanced in-house diagnostics and treatment, without the need to outsource to an external hospital or referral centre. Services include CT scanning, orthopaedics, ophthalmology, cardiology, composite dentistry & platelet-rich plasma therapy. For customers, this means they can receive an end-to-end service, benefitting from more options, greater convenience, and reduced costs in their choice of care plans for their pets. For colleagues, this offers greater variety, stimulation and the opportunity to fully utilise their skills and knowledge.
The Pet Vet team is growing and they’re currently recruiting for a number of clinical roles across their surgery locations. To explore their latest opportunities, benefits and download their careers brochure, please visit thepetvet.co.uk/careers.
