Two New Additions To Norbrook's Popular Loxicom Range

Leading veterinary pharmaceuticals manufacturer, Norbrook Laboratories Ltd has expanded its popular Loxicom range with an additional two products. New to the Loxicom for Dogs range is a chewable tablet available with 1mg and 2.5mg meloxicam per tablet, while the Loxicom for Cats range will see a 5ml presentation of Loxicom Oral Suspension added to the existing 15ml option. “Loxicom chewable tablets, which are flavoured with pork, are a highly palatable option to prescribing meloxicam to dogs and as they can be used for long term and short term treatment, they are available in packs of either 100 or 20,” explains Michelle Jones, Norbrook, Brand Manager (Small Animals). “Loxicom Oral Suspension for Cats, which we launched two years ago, has now become the brand of choice for many vets. We introduced clear bottles to enable easy monitoring of usage and tight-fitting syringes to allow for accurate, mess-free administration which were very well received by our customers. The new 5ml presentation, which will be offered in the same way, will allow vets to dispense smaller quantities of the product as required without any unnecessary wastage.” Loxicom is Norbrook’s meloxicam range which is one of the most commonly used small animal NSAIDs across the UK and Europe and is highly trusted in practices due to its proven record of efficacy. “We have used the Loxicom range for a long while now,” comments Catriona McIntyre, Veterinary Surgeon, Bute and Cowal Vets from Dunoon in Scotland. “We initially chose it because of Norbrook’s reputation for quality and have been more than happy. The efficacy of the products, the extent of the range, the ease of administration with the tight fitting syringes and clear bottles, as well as the cost benefits have combined to make it the first choice for our practice. We are looking forward to adding the 5ml Oral Suspension for Cats to our range.” In addition to Loxicom, Norbrook has a wide range of small animal products which includes Carprieve, a carprofen product available as an injectable for dogs and cats and in tablet form for dogs, Noroquin which is a glucosamine based supplement for cats, dogs and horses and the recently launched Propentofylline tablets. The new Loxicom products are now available to order in the UK and Ireland with some exciting launch offers.
