VetCT Replaces Swag For Sea Turtle Support At London Vet Show

VetCT has announced it will be forgoing marketing giveaways at London Vet Show (LVS) and instead making a donation to Wildlife Vets International (WVI) for every visitor scanned at their stand. LVS delegates are also invited to attend a talk on the pathology and treatment of rescued sea turtles by WVI’s Matt Rendle with a donation being made for every attendee.
VetCT, a provider of teleradiology and teleconsulting specialist support to veterinary teams, is increasing efforts to reduce resource use and waste by moving brochures to digital and choosing more sustainable options for pens and giveaways. VetCT recently partnered with WVI to support their vital work providing veterinary input to global conservation projects, helping to raise funds and awareness, and providing free teleconsulting and teleradiology support.
Head of Communications, Liz Barton says, ‘Sustainability is a guiding principle in all we do at VetCT. This year at LVS we want to dispense with giveaways and instead give people the ‘feel good’ factor of contributing to important charity work, especially at a time when finances are stretched. We’ll still have some treats and a fab competition for our visitors, but our main aim is to raise awareness and funds for WVI and the plight of sea turtles.”
Sea Turtles were chosen by members of the 250-strong global VetCT team as their flagship species. Liz says, “sea turtles are vital for many marine ecosystems and provide a focus for our biodiversity support and plastic reduction efforts. We are providing free access to our services for all rescued sea turtles, including projects supported by WVI. We’re delighted to welcome Matt, who is a brilliant speaker, to share some fascinating veterinary insights into these enigmatic animals.”
