Veterinary Management Group Strengthens Leadership Team
The Veterinary Management Group (VMG), the professional association for veterinary leaders and managers, has announced two key appointments to its senior team.
Chris White MBA has been appointed Operations and Development Director and becomes Chair of the VMG. With a wealth of experience in senior leadership roles across both independent practices and corporate veterinary groups, Chris has served on the VMG board in a voluntary capacity for the past four years. In his new role, he will lead the association’s operations and service delivery, while overseeing strategic planning to further strengthen support for members.
Amy Martin RVN has joined as Learning and Development Manager. With more than 25 years’ experience in clinical veterinary practice, including 18 in leadership positions, Amy brings significant expertise in team development and wellbeing. A published author on wellbeing in the veterinary profession, she is a qualified coach and mentor.
Amy will lead the ongoing development of the VMG’s unique, internationally-recognised suite of ILM-accredited qualifications – the Award, Certificate and Diploma in Veterinary Leadership and Management – with a focus on enriching the student experience and fostering a strong learning community. More than 540 aspiring and current veterinary leaders and management have already taken at least one of the qualifications or are studying for them.
Commenting on his appointment, Chris White said: “I’m excited to be taking on this expanded role at the VMG. As we evolve our services and expand our reach, I look forward to working with the team to deliver even greater value for our members and the wider profession.”
Amy Martin added: “It’s a privilege to join the VMG at such a pivotal time. I’m passionate about leadership education and keen to build on our already-strong learning offer to help veterinary professionals develop the leadership skills they need to help our profession thrive.”
As the professional association for veterinary leaders and managers, the VMG supports veterinary professionals through education, leadership development and peer networking and support.
