The UK’s leading monthly veterinary magazine, Veterinary Practice, heads into its 50th year with a new look designed to refresh and revitalise the publication for the contemporary veterinary audience.

Following extensive market research and consultation, the November 2017 issue of the magazine showcases a convenient new A4 format, clean design with well-marked sections and contents pages, and a range of new column topics including welfare, mental health, technological innovation and legal questions for practices. “I’m delighted with the new look,” said Jennifer Parker, Editor. “VP is a much-loved publication and we wanted to provide continuity while also embracing everything that the future can hold for veterinary publishing. This fresh approach will support VP into its next 50 years.”

The redesign will shortly be followed by an update to the Veterinary Practice website, including searchable archives dating back to 2007, and an exciting suite of new advertising options.

Ellen Hardy, Managing Editor at 5m Publishing, said “This redesign is the result of a great deal of hard work and dedication from the Veterinary Practice team. It marks the start of a bright new direction for the publication, embracing cutting edge topics and digital opportunity while still providing the range and quality of content that readers have come to expect.”

Veterinary Practice and its associated conferences, VetsNorth and VetsSouth, were acquired by 5m Publishing in January 2017 as an exciting addition to a portfolio of veterinary products and services that already included training and certification from Improve International and the European School of Veterinary Postgraduate Studies, the Official Vet Conference and magazine, and 5m Books.
