Veterinary Human Factors training providers, VetLed, have launched their free resource, the Restorative Just Culture Guide for Veterinary Practice, the first resource of its kind in the veterinary profession. The creation of this valuable resource, which should be a go-to tool for any leaders looking to make positive changes to the culture within their team, rounds off their Restorative Just Culture campaign that ran throughout February.

We know the positive difference that Restorative Just Culture principles could make within the veterinary profession, and we’re proud that we’ve been able to deliver such a useful tool for practice, with expertise from the Restorative Just Culture Foundation.”
- Dr Hannah Godfrey, VetLed Community Lead

At SPVS Congress 2026, VetLed Training Director, Dan Tipney, and Amanda Joy Oates from the Restorative Just Culture Foundation attracted a crowd for an early start at the Elanco Business Breakfast session. Their session, titled "Leading with Heart: Building Restorative Just Cultures in Veterinary Teams,” introduced some of the basics, covering the 10 Principles of Restorative Just Culture, and addressing some of the common misconceptions.

As with any work you do on the culture within your organisation, it’s not as simple as saying ‘that’s what we do,’ – you have to follow through, live it, work on consistency, and learn from the times it didn’t go to plan.”
- Dr Hannah Godfrey BVetMed MRCVS
