The third annual Vet Report looking at current and important issues in pet welfare, was launched at the London Vet Show.

The publication from Vets4Pets is a useful resource for veterinary professionals and pet owners alike, and covers a wide range of subjects.

This year’s Vet Report offers insight on a variety of topics including pet obesity, antibiotics, anaesthesia, vaccinations and cat lifestyles.

For each subject, Vets4Pets has enlisted the help of an authority in the field from organisations including PDSA, International Cat Care and Northwest Surgeons, to share their wealth of knowledge and experience.

Dr Huw Stacey, Director of Clinical Services at Vets4Pets and editor of the report, said: “We are absolutely delighted to have launched our third Vet Report, particularly as our two previous reports were so well-received and successful at delivering their messages.

“Last year’s report enabled 48 million people to be aware of the signs of Alabama Rot and taught 26 million people the benefits of microchipping, and we hope to reach that level of audience again with the 2016 edition.

“To ensure we explored the most relevant topics in this year’s report we reached out to numerous veterinary professionals, industry experts and charities to find out what they identified as the most important issues in pet health and welfare.

“We’ve been lucky enough to work with some brilliant experts and authors on this report who have contributed world class articles to the publication.

“Looking to the future we want The Vet Report to become the channel for the veterinary profession to communicate important information on pet health and welfare to the general public.

“It’s taken a lot of hard work from many dedicated individuals to produce our 2016 Vet Report.

“We hope everyone enjoys reading it and finds it educational and beneficial.”

The 2016 Vet Report is available online and in Vets4Pets and Companion Care practices.
